Afterward, you can't stop ruminating about what you should have said. You start questioning whether you’re even cut out for what you’re trying to do.
You go home that night, lose sleep, and there’s a dark cloud over the rest of your week. You’re more withdrawn from your friends and family because you’re still ruminating.
And you have no idea how to do better next time.
It doesn't have to be like this!
It has different "zones" – I think of them as green, yellow and red.
We can only perform well in the green zone. But it’s easy to be overwhelmed and get pushed into yellow or red under pressure.
This is why mindset work, positive thinking, and affirmations aren't helping. Those rely on thoughts, and when your nervous system is overwhelmed, you lose control of your thoughts.
What you need is a quick, simple way to get from the yellow or red zone back into the green zone.
